About Robert D. Hudson

Rob is an owner of the law firm Frost Brown Todd, LLC and serves clients in the firm’s labor and employment law practice group. Rob has been immersed in his region’s economic development for over two decades. He helped lead Northern Kentucky’s two largest business organizations, as Chair of the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce and the Covington Business Council. He served as President of the Northern Kentucky Society for Human Resources Management, President for Be-Concerned, Inc., President of the University of Kentucky Alumni Association in Greater Cincinnati, and as a Board Member for the Tri-County Economic Development Corporation.

A frequent lecturer and trainer on business and legal topics, Rob has been recognized as a Best Lawyer in America, Kentucky Super Lawyer, Cincy Leading Lawyer, and by Chambers and Partners as the “go to employment lawyer in Northern Kentucky.” He has been inducted into the Taking Care of Business Hall of Fame and is a past recipient of the Area Development District’s Outstanding Community Leadership Award. Rob has served on the Board of Directors for Ken-tron Mfg., Inc., as the Chair of the Northern Kentucky Political Involvement Committee, and as a Board Member for the Northern Kentucky Business PAC.

Rob met his wife-to-be, then Melissa Martin, at the University of Kentucky in 1980. After receiving a B.S. in Accounting with High Distinction, Rob graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Law and moved to Greater Cincinnati. Rob and Melissa reside in Villa Hills, Kentucky with their two children and are members of Lakeside Christian Church.

About Lauren Hudson


Lauren, a student at Dixie Heights High School, is a twice published author. She has received a wide range of awards for academic achievement. Lauren has been recognized for her writing talent, having been selected from the Northern Kentucky region to compete in state writing contests and having received the John Edwards Kentucky State Essay Award.  She is a member of Regional Youth Leadership in Greater Cincinnati.

A gifted presenter and actor, Lauren has received statewide recognition in Forensics speech and drama competitions, with frequent roles in her school’s drama productions. Lauren plays the piano and has served as a youth worship leaders. She was a member of the Kentucky State Honor Choir, performing in the Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts.

The Community Recorder and nky.com have featured Lauren repeatedly in stories about her leadership and versatility in academic and extracurricular activities. She served as a student attorney on the Kentucky State Mock Trial championship team. She has appeared on regional and national radio and television numerous times, most recently with Stuart Varney on Fox Business News.

Lauren is also a talented scholar athlete. Lauren plays Elite Soccer for Kings-Hammer in Greater Cincinnati. Most recently, she started center-mid for Dixie Heights High varsity girl’s soccer team.
